Maisy: Drugs and Aids Information System (DAIS)

"Compucorp Ltd in conjunction with the HSE - Dublin present MAISY DAIS - an advanced information system to manage and plan client care in the sensitive area of Drugs and AIDS case management."

MAISY: DAIS incorporates a highly configurable security layer managing a case from the referrals process to various clinics and teams, specially designed modules to meet the challenging nature of Drug and AIDS case management and a comprehensive integrated and secure reporting solution to extract operational and management information from the system.

Features at a glance:
  • Multiple Network Locations: Client files can be accessed from any networked location. This ensures immediate sharing of information and work schedules across different locations.
  • Comprehensive Security: Module based as well as data dependent security ensures that only the relevant users can access the sensitive personal health information.
  • Centralised Progress Notes: All professionals can enter information concerning client interactions in a central location. This facilitates immediate sharing of information amongst different disciplines.
  • Automatic Update of Urinalysis: MAISY xml-SOAP interface allows Urinalysis results from drug treatment labs to be downloaded automatically within 48 hours of the sample being sent to the lab. This up to date information allows changes in treatment plans according to current urinalysis results. When a client is transferred to another clinic all previous results are automatically transferred with the client.
  • Procedures and Tests: MAISY records all procedures carried out by professionals for a client. Scheduled reminders can be set for future procedures.
  • Medical Flow chart: Facilitates easy recording of methadone prescribed, dates of prescriptions and dosages.
  • Assessments: Assessments for all people who attend treatment sessions are recorded. This comprehensive module contains a vast amount of information that can be viewed by the relevant professionals, to decide on the correct treatment plan.
  • Appointment Module: Allows professionals to make appointments for clients and to record their attendance.
  • Reports can easily be generated to show attendance and cancelations for any time frame.
  • Multidisciplinary Care Plan: Allows different agencies with different security access rights to contribute directly into one care plan and to work as a team in achieving client goals.
  • Needle Exchange: MAISY provides an excellent facility to record details of contacts at Needle Exchange Clinics, allowing for reporting of effectiveness through contacts made within the community and the number of repeat visits.
  • Methadone Register: One of the benefits of having MAISY is the ability to computerise and effectively manage the Central Methadone Register. This includes monitoring of the individual clients and the measurement of treatments given.
  • Drug History: Whilst MAISY captures client details it provides an opportunity for very detailed history to be recorded. This history can form the basis of research and an audit into the effectiveness of particular treatments, and the effectiveness in reaching those with specific needs.
  • Outreach: Recording details of contacts made provides a means to evaluate and audit the effectiveness of a specific project. This information, if / when combined with the treatment programme details provides a powerful tool in measuring performance and in providing an improved and consistent service to the client.
